Edward Norton May Play Villain In Universal’s Bourne Legacy

Edward Norton is in negotiations to play the villain opposite Jeremy Renner in Universal Pictures’ The Bourne Legacy, Variety reports.

Rachel Weisz is also set to star in the Tony Gilroy-directed spinoff, designed to keep the lucrative franchise alive in Matt Damon’s absence. Although details are scarce, it’s known that Renner will play an assassin trained in the same covert government program as Bourne. ilroy wrote the script. Frank Marshall, Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner are producing.

Norton, who starred in The Incredible Hulk and Leaves of Grass, is filming was Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom with a cast that includes Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Harvey Keitel and Tilda Swinton.
