WATCH: Batman Unmasked in New "Batman v Superman" Footage
So much Evil Dead news! Bruce Campbell just got finished telling us all that the planned remake really is a thing, and now there’s word that a director has been confirmed. Sam Raimi won’t be returning to helm the new take on his early film, but he’ll serve in a creative producer-y type role as newcomer Federico Alvarez steps in to direct, Bloody Disgusting reports via an unnamed source.
You might have seen Alvarez’s 2009 short film Panic Attack!, but the Evil Dead remake will be his first feature, under Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures label. This development joins yesterday’s news, also from an unidentified source, that longtime Raimi editor Bob Murawski has headed to Detroit for what will apparently be a quick production before he starts work on Oz, the Great and Powerful.
