Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
As amazing as The Walking Dead booth was in 2010 — it was a recreation of the farmhouse where Rick Grimes found his horse — this year’s Comic-Con International display may have it beat by a country mile. A zombie-littered country mile …
The AMC drama’s blog has photos of the booth, which captures a pivotal scene from Season 1 in which Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker) struggles to free himself from handcuffs on an Atlanta rooftop as walkers pour into the building below. As you can see, the booth includes a stunning replica of Merle created by special effects makeup artist Greg Nicotero and his KNB EFX Studios.
More photos can be found on the show’s blog. AMC’s The Walking Dead presentation will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday in Ballroom 20.
