CCI | Doctor Who Fall Trailer
CBR/Spinoff Online’s coverage of Comic-Con 2011 is brought to you by
ULTIMATE MARVEL VS. CAPCOM

To coincide with this afternoon’s panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, BBC America has premiered the fall trailer for Doctor Who, which returns Aug. 27 with six new episodes. With it comes this tease: ““His time is running out. This is where it begins. Some secrets have been revealed while others remain unlocked. What is Madame Korvarian’s plan? Does the Doctor really die?”

oo ooooo ooo ooooo oo oo oo oo oo ooo durum durum durum – (that’s the tune) I’ve got my cushion for hiding behind… do we really have to wait until August is nearly over? (sobs into cushion in utter frustration.)

    Awesome trailer! Can’t wait.

After the Bullshit BBC America Pulled with “A Good Man Goes To War” I think I’ll stick with watching the Proper BBC airing on the internet.

Damn, I was doing fine till now, I got over missing Dr. Who. But now I can’t wait for the 27th of August, but I don’t want the summer to end. It’s maddening. Can’t wait.

Did you catch Rory’s Captain America/Hitler punch?

  • Shawn

Haha yeah. I thought I was having a hard time waiting for Spider-Man, but waiting for something that’s closer than that is much more annoying. It’s premiering a little earlier than I thought, which is good.
Hey I think what Meredith Viera acted and said as a reporter for Dr. Who about Winston Churchill coming on a mammoth to the Roman Palace or something like that is actually true and will happen in the finale. Because “Something has happened to time.” I knew it!

And the secret message video that they had on the BBC site with the Doctor asking for help was called “Analysis Lessons” which was an anagram of Lonely Assassins, which is what they called the Weeping Angels. But I wasn’t sure they were coming back. But they are! Awesome.

And it’s like they’re taunting us, ‘Haven’t you figured that one out yet?’ because we thought the River twist was predictable. Those bastards.

And River in the eyepatch? What the hell is that about?

I think I’ll stop my theorizing. This is what happens when I get more Dr. Who news.

    Or – and here’s the scary thought…

What if Madame Kovarian IS River? If the regenerating girl from Impossible Astronaut/Day Of The Moon IS River, who’s to say she regenerates to become River first? Maybe she has one or more further regenerations to go through before she becomes the not-so-good Professor?
