HBO Has No Intention Of Ending Game Of Thrones Until Martin Does

I haven’t seen Game of Thrones yet, so no spoilers, please. Judging by the response it got at Comic-Con International last week, not to mention the Internet-spanning wildfire that’s sprung up around HBO’s adaptation of the George R.R. Martin-penned series of novels, a fair few of you have. You’ll be excited to hear then that the cable network is absolutely fine with keeping the show going until the author stops writing.

The news comes from HBO Co-President Richard Pleper, speaking Thursday at a Television Critics Association panel (via HitFix). It was also revealed that the network isn’t necessarily looking to stick with a one-book-per-season approach since, as Pleper put it, “there’s no way they could physically do more than 10 [episodes].”

Hey, since you’re here, why not check out the Season 2 set photo above, compliments of TV Overmind.

This is not surprising news at all…it’s been a massive hit for HBO! I’m thrilled for everyone involved with this series that it’s done so well :-)

According to another report, the network is not necessarily stick with the book, since each season approach, Pleper said, “There is no way they can make the body more than a dozen. Thank you for your information.
