"Tomb Raider" Finds Its Lara Croft in "Ex Machina's" Alicia Vikander

HBO has premiered a new trailer for the second season of Boardwalk Empire, Terence Winter’s Emmy-nominated drama about politics, crime and corruption in Prohibition-era Atlantic City. All right, “Emmy-nominated” doesn’t do the series justice; it received a whopping 18 nominations, including nods for Outstanding Drama, Outstanding Lead Actor (Steve Buscemi) and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Kelly Macdonald).
While the first trailer teased us with scenes from the new season, this one takes a more symbolic, and paranoid, approach, with Atlantic County Treasurer Nucky Thompson (Buscemi) beset by sycophants while his many, many enemies (or suspected enemies) eye him from a distance until he finds himself alone on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Boardwalk Empire returns Sept. 25 on HBO.
