American Werewolf’s John Landis Working On Another Horror Film
Here’s some interesting and somewhat surprising news. John Landis, the director of An American Werewolf in London and the recent dark comedy Burke & Hare, is working on a horror movie. He’s probably best known for comedies like Animal House and Blues Brothers, but between Werewolf and his contributions to the Twilight Zone movie and Masters of Horror TV series (plus a few other things), more horror from Landis is an intriguing possibility.
The news comes from an interview the director did with Bloody Disgusting in which he described the project as “a little monster movie,” going on to say that this is the first time he’s discussed it publicly. He’s working on the script now with Alexandre Gavras, and they intend to shoot it in Paris sometime over the next two years.
“It’s interesting. … My cast has to be bilingual because it’s being shot in French and English,” Landis said. “We know who’s gonna star in it, but this is all off the radar right now [so I can't tell you who they are].”
