8 Marvel Movie Fights That Kicked All the Ass

Filming in the second-largest city in Ohio comes with its drawbacks, with virtually every detail of The Avengers shot in downtown Cleveland — doubling as New York City and, as of Monday, Stuttgart, Germany — seemingly photographed, videotaped or tweeted. So how does Marvel keep a pivotal scene under wraps? By telling people not to look!
Warning: Potential spoilers!
The Plain Dealer reports that Wednesday afternoon the studio asked Medical Mutual employees, who earlier in the captured the best footage of the explosive battle scene, not to watch out their office windows, while journalists were ejected from the building entirely.
That veil of secrecy didn’t prevent part of a “hush-hush alley scene” featuring Captain America from being captured on video (you can watch it below). According to the newspaper, “the red, white and blue Avenger was chased by a flaming car, leaped onto the car roof, then fell to the ground. He promptly got up, retrieved his shield and was ready for action. Several people saw Evans donning the Cap uniform.” The Sentinel of Liberty was also spied scaling the side of a building.
Adding to the mounting evidence that The Avengers will battle the shapes-shifting Skrulls, a Medical Mutual employee said extras were instructed to look in a horror above the building at a spaceship that will be added in post-production.
