Watch SHIELD Agent Coulson In ‘Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant’  

On the heels of “The Road to The Avengers” featurette, the full “Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant” short film has leaked ahead of the Sept. 13 release of Thor on Blu-ray.

As we noted early last month, when Marvel teased us with preview, the short is designed to further tie together the studio’s cinematic universe, as fan-favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) decide over coffee to send “the consultant” to meet with General Ross.

Another “Marvel One-Shot,” called “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,” will be set between the events of Iron Man 2 and Thor. While no release date has been given for the second short, it seems likely it will be attached to the Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-ray.

    I know it sounds stupid, but Coulson is my favorite character thus far in the Avengers films.

    I wonder how happy this guy is that his biggest thing before this was that horrid New Adventures of Old Christine show and now he’s part of potentially one of the biggest overall franchises in cinema!  Talk about right place, right time.  It’s like when Hugo Weaving went from virtually nothing to being part of Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, the Matrix trilogy and Transformers all in just a few years!

    The Matrix dropped 12 years or so ago. I think he was pretty famous from that point on…

    Yes, but the Matrix was in 99 and then it was in 01 that Lord of the Rings started, that’s what I mean.  In a period of a few years (99-03) his career exploded by being involved in two huge movie franchises.

    Two things: One, who the hell is in charge of things where they wan Blonsky to be an Avenger? I mean, clearly Nick isn’t in charge of the roster.

    Two, did anyone else spot the other agent in Thor? He was in the S.H.I.E.L.D. thingy built around Mjolnir. If I had to guess, I’d say they’re partners and that he’ll be in The Avengers in some capacity.
