First Look At Agent Phil Coulson’s Next ‘Marvel One-Shot’

Even as Thor arrives today on Blu-Ray and DVD, with the Agent Coulson-headlining “Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant” special feature in tow, a preview has surfaced online for the second short film, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,” courtesy of cinematographer David Myrick.

The short, included on the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-Ray and DVD, looks to be a step up from “The Consultant,” which was nothing more than Clark Gregg and Maximiliano Hernández (as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Sitwell) talking over coffee, setting up the post-credits sequence of The Incredible Hulk. However, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,” set between the events of Iron Man 2 and Thor, puts Phil Coulson into the field — and into the middle of a gas-station robbery (note the Roxxon gas pumps).

Captain America: The First Avenger will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on Oct. 25.

That other guy in The Consultant was supposed to be Sitwell? Huh. I still think they should have called Coulson’s character Sitwell in Iron Man.
