DC Comics' July Highlights: "Batgirl," "Nightwing" and a "New Super-Man"
Warner Home Video, Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation announced this morning that they will debut the 15-minute Catwoman animated short from Batman: Year One Oct. 14 at New York Comic Con.
Written by Paul Dini, the short pits Catwoman (voiced by Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Eliza Dusku) against crime boss Rough Cut (Futurama‘s John DiMaggio) in a chase through Gotham City tracking down a mysterious cargo shipment. It will be included with the animated adaptation of Batman: Year One, which will released Oct. 18 for Blu-ray, DVD, download and On Demand.
Catwoman will be screened during a 3 p.m. presentation devoted to DC Universe Animated Original Movies that will also include a first look at Justice League: Doom, the next entry in the direct-to-DVD series.
New York Comic Con will be held Oct. 13-16 at the Javits Center in New York City.
