Rescue Me Star Michael Zegen Joins AMC’s The Walking Dead

Less than before its second-season premiere, AMC’s The Walking Dead has added one more name to its list of survivors.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Rescue Me alum Michael Zegen has signed on for the recurring role of Randall, a character that doesn’t appear in the acclaimed horror comic by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. He’s described in vague terms as “a skinny Southern kid who finds himself in a rather unique set of post-apocalypse circumstances.”

Zegen, who’s best known as probie firefighter Damien Keefe on FX’s Rescue Me, also has a recurring role as Bugsy Siegel on HBO’s Prohibition-era drama Boardwalk Empire.

The Walking Dead kicks off its 13-episode season with a 90-minute premiere Sunday, Oct. 16, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.

I don’t know about you, but I like to see The Walking Dead in HD. I’m hooked on both the comics and the TV series. Just some advice for fans of The Walking Dead, if you’re watching AMC on DirecTV you might want to switch to a TV provider like DISH Network. DirecTV has AMC in HD, but DISH Network has it for less $$$. As a customer and employee of DISH I can’t say how happy I’ve been since I made the switch. Don’t you want to see your zombies for less?
