First Still And New Set Photos <br />Arrive For <i>The Avengers</i>  

On the heels of that underwhelming cover — oh, okay, it’s a Photoshop disaster — Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the first still and two new set photos from The Avengers.

We get Chris Evans’ Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark looking at something, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye in action in front of a green screen, and director Joss Whedon, Chris Hemsworth, Downey and Evans chatting on the set.

The new issue of EW arrives Friday. The Avengers, which also stars Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Stellan Skarsgård, opens May 4, 2012.

    ok im feeling the desgin of caps costume but not the bright colors and i feel the material need to be in some areas more leathery and it needed to seem thicker more a little more armor like

    It seems that Hawkeye and Black Widow were meant to be substitutes for Ant-Man and Wasp all along.

    Wohoo!! Scarlett Johansson looks like a strong, empowered and sexy Black Widow. Hahah.. freakin’ fantastic, can’t wait! Man! I feel like a woman!

    The cap suit looks a bit more like body armor in that pic. Thor’s armor looks good. Scarlet and JR look awesome as Widow and Hawkeye

    About time Cap’s new suit looks awesome. Still prefer the WWII one, but as long as they keep this look, I’ll be enjoying it in the movie.

    I hate RDJ’s Tony Stark beard. That wide beard with that awkward angle bothers me. Otherwise, can’t wait for this movie. Maybe this should have been called “The Ultimates” cuz that’s what it looks like (which is not a problem)
