Warner Bros. Animation has unveiled a second clip from Batman: Year One, the animated adaptation of the celebrated 1987 story arc by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli.

The PG-13 film, which arrives Oct. 18 as a Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD, On Demand and for download, recounts the beginning of Bruce Wayne’s career as the Dark Knight and Jim Gordon’s with the Gotham City Police Department as the two grapple with violence, corruption and crime boss Carmine “The Roman” Falcone.

Directed by Sam Liu and Lauren Montgomery, Batman: Year One stars Ben McKenzie (The O.C., Southland) as Bruce Wayne, Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as James Gordon, Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Selina Kyle, Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as Sarah Essen, and Alex Rocco (The Godfather) as Carmine Falcone. The release also includes a Catwoman short, featuring the voices of Dushku and John DiMaggio, which will be screened Oct. 16 at New York Comic Con.

Just demonstrates how ludicrous the Batman concept is. Of course, a SWAT team armed with military grade machine guns can  kill Batman. This clip doesn’t show how awesome Batman is, it shows how stupid the concept of a street level, UNARMED “super”hero is.
