NYCC | Watch Opening Scene of Green Lantern Animated Series

Following the world-premiere screening of Green Lantern: The Animated Series this morning at New York Comic Con, Warner Bros. has released the opening scene of the first episode, which airs Nov. 11 on Cartoon Network.

Produced by Bruce Timm, the CG-animated action series follows the continuing adventures of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: “As Earth’s Green Lantern, Hal Jordan is used to being in dangerous situations—but he’s never faced anything like this! Set at the farthest reaches of deep space, Hal must face down an invasion from the Red Lantern Corps. Hal is soon joined by an all-new group of heroes on a mission to protect Guardian Space — and the Green Lantern Corps itself!”

The cartoon features the voices of Josh Keaton, Michael Clarke Duncan, Richard Green and Robert Englund.

“Sorry, this content is not available in your location”?  What a piece of sh**t!

I will find it downloading a torrent, anyway.

Wow, this looks fantastic! Dig the stylized animation and look. Really looking forward to it.

Looks good, but . . . I’m not crazy about the Red Lanterns in general.  Never dug the whole “War of Light” thing.

Cool. This and the 6 minute preview on Youtube have me excited about this show.

Looks MUCH better than I was expecting.

I hate it when the US blocks other countries from accessing their content

  • Duder

This show looks pretty cool.  Hope it lasts several years on the air!

I wonder if the whole “War of Light” will be included in this series. I would love too see the Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night events animated!

  • SageShinigami

Would prefer if the Red Lanterns didn’t talk.   ….Also if it weren’t CGI, but its not bad.

  • randombeing

Wholeheartedly agreed. Note that other English-speaking countries don’t do this. I almost never even bother clicking on media links anymore, as there’s no point. Off to YouTube for me now, I guess.
