NYCC | Robot Chicken Targets DC

Robot Chicken is setting its sights on DC Comics’ superheroes for a special expected to air sometime next year, IGN.com reports.

The announcement was made Friday at New York Comic Con by Robot Chicken Executive Producer Seth Green and DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns during the presentation for the Adult Swim stop-motion animated series.

Production for the episode, referred to as “RC/DC,” will gear up in the coming weeks, with Johns and MAD‘s Kevin Shinick penning the skits.

Johns, who writes DC’s newly relaunched Justice League and Green Lantern titles, has contributed to Robot Chicken since 2008, and worked on the 2010 Star Wars Episode III special.
