The Simpsons Debuts Poster for ‘Treehouse of Horror XXII’

With the salary standoff settled, and the future of The Simpsons secure through at least the 25th season, Fox is moving on to more pleasant matters — promoting the 22nd installment of the show’s annual “Treehouse of Horror” special.

To that end, the network has released a terrific poster featuring, among other things, Homer as Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen, and Edna getting cozy with the Prince of Darkness. Here’s the official description:

In the 22nd annual installment of “Treehouse of Horror,” Homer channels Aron Ralston (guest voicing as himself) after a boulder traps his arm; a venomous spider bite leaves Homer paralyzed; then Ned Flanders, devout preacher by day, transforms into a cold-blooded vigilante by night; and Bart and Milhouse get caught in inter-planetary warfare in the all-new “Treehouse of Horror XXII” episode of THE SIMPSONS.

“Treehouse of Horror XXII” airs Sunday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
