Good Ol’ Charlie Brown Driven to Brink in ‘Blockhead’s Revenge’

At Funny or Die, horror legend John Carpenter plays host to “Charlie Brown: Blockhead’s Revenge,” a beautifully shot short film from director Robert Ben Garant (Reno 911) that, as the title suggests, gazes at Charles Schulz’s beloved characters through a dark, dark lens. The Great Pumpkin it’s not.

Described as “the grittiest, sexiest, scariest reboot of this Fall,” “Blockhead’s Revenge” stars, surprisingly enough, the cast of MTV’s Teen Wolf: Dylan O’Brien, Colton Haynes, Tyler Hoechlin and Holland Roden.

God (and Charles Schultz) forgive me but I also nearly laughed my ass off. That was great.

I always found Charlie Brown more depressing than funny, so I liked this because they played on it for the humor.
