Dwayne Johnson teased us in August with a photo from the set of G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, but now Entertainment Tonight has gone to New Orleans for a behind-the-scenes look at the Paramount Pictures sequel.
The segment, which aired last night, features Johnson (Roadblock) and fellow co-stars Adrianne Palicki (Lady Jay) and D.J. Cotrona (Firefly) discussing the production, and shows filming of a fight between Roadblock and Firefly.
Johnson also talked with E.T. about Bruce Willis, who plays the original Joe, Gen. Joe Colton. “Bruce is the man,” he said. “We’ve been buddies for some time now. … He’s iconic in our business on many levels.”
But just how close are they? “He held my legs, I was doing sit-ups,” Johnson joked. “Well, we compare many things — we compare our love for Haiku poetry, we compare our voices because he can sing, I can sing …”
Directed by Jon M. Chu, G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation also stars Channing Tatum, Ray Stevenson, Ray Park, Byung-hun Lee and Walton Goggins. It opens June 29, 2012.
