Kate Beckinsale Wages War in New Underworld: Awakening Trailer

 

Sony’s Screen Gems has premiered a new trailer for Underworld: Awakening, which marks the return of Kate Beckinsale to the action-horror franchise.

Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.

Directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, the film also stars tephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance. Underworld: Awakening opens in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D on Jan. 20.
