Snow White and the Huntsman Debuts a Stunning Teaser Trailer

Universal Pictures has premiered the visually stunning first trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman, which makes it clear that director Rupert Sanders is going full-on Lord of the Rings with his take on the classic fairy tale.

Charlize Theron’s Evil Queen introduces us to a story of violence, jealousy, obsession and crows. Lots and lots of crows.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The film, which opens June 1, 2012, also features an all-star cast of dwarves: Ian McShane, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Steven Graham and Nick Frost. Check out the trailer below, or watch it in HD at Apple.com.

    Snow
White and the Huntsman will be better than Mirror, Mirror because it has the
stronger cast and it will be at least be the more critically successful movie. In
addition, unlike Mirror, Mirror, the Queen in this film looks like an evil
    villain.

I’m sorry but this looks hilarious to me.

    Is that Thor (huntsman)?

  • Flip Maker

Yup!  He does well with hammer type things, apparently

  • Shift

I’m sorry, but while nothing personal against Kristen Stewart, she is hardly an actress who looks “fairest in all the land”.  She always has his expression that looks both annoyed and confused, and a bit man-ish.

I have everything against Stewart. I’m still going to watch this movie because of the other actors in this movie, but it could have been so much better with someone else as Snow White.

Ugh..Pretty girls can’t wear heavy armor.   They would not be able to move.   I liked the trailer up until snow white fights like a grizzled man at arms, then they lost me.

Let’s hope Stewart acts an emotion this time around.

this looks surprisingly good, but i think they made a good choice by avoiding having Kristen stewart talking in the trailer.

@266fc9c7073897362f1316c9ce8bf48f:disqus , totally agree you take a look at Charlize Theron, the last thing you think of is “evil queen”.
You can definitely see the Alice in Wonderland influence. Are we going to see a whole series of these live action Grim (Grimm?)-esque movies?
Also I saw a comment about the whole girls in heavy armor being a mismatch, I think
Joan of Arc (if she were around) would beg to differ. It makes more sense than girls rocking the “metal bikini” like Xena lol

She’s sooooooo bloody miserable! She’s even scowling on the poster, I’ll give it a look if it’s on tv in a few years

Kristen Stewart sucks. I wont be paying to see this movie.

  • Omegasaga

Co starring THOR  as  ….THOR, with an Axe.

Dear Chris Hemsworth agents-  dont you think it would be good to have yuor break out star do somthing different in his 2nd major movie outting?

Lets see… THOR 2011,  Huntsman 2012,  Avengers 2012…..  lots of diversity there.

  • Omegasaga

unless you like pale, unhealthy skinny 14yrold boy like bodytypes- with zombie facial expresions…. then i guess she is fairest in the land of ugly Goth chicks.
