Russo Brothers: "Avengers: Infinity War 1 & 2" to be Retitled
The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone hosted NBC’s seminal sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live for the second time over the weekend. The busy actress, whose The Help and Crazy, Stupid Love have dropped already this year, kicked off the show with a monologue that featured Andy Samberg trying to audition for the role of Spidey, armed with Silly String webshooters, a fanny pack filled with change and a script he wrote for them to act out.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Stone brought out the actual star of The Amazing Spider-Man Andrew Garfield, spawning a pretty hilarious joke about the United States outsourcing acting jobs to the U.K. The above clip doesn’t reveal any secrets about the July 3 film, but it does crack plenty of jokes about Spidey’s big-screen reboot, which will be hitting 10 years and three months after Sony’s Spider-Man bowed.
Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man also stars Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Campbell Scott, C. Thomas Howell, Julianne Nicholson and Annie Parisse.
