Harley Quinn's Greatest Moments from "Batman: The Animated Series"
TV, Comic Books
Fans who lobbied for Smallville actress Erica Durance to play Wonder Woman will finally get their wish. Well, sort of.
According to TVLine, she will guest star in an episode of NBC’s legal dramedy Harry’s Law as “a psychologically infirm woman who retreats into the persona of the DC Comics heroine to help wreak revenge on perpetrators of domestic abuse.”
The series, which stars Kathy Bates as criminal-defense attorney Harriet “Harry” Korn, is co-produced by Warner Bros. Television, making any rights issues an easy hurdle. The episode will also give Harry’s Law creator David E. Kelley another shot at the Amazing Amazon after NBC passed on his Wonder Woman pilot in May.
Given that harmonic convergence, TVLine suggests we could even see Durance wearing an honest-to-goodness Wonder Woman costume, rather than, say, the familiar yet generically named “Amazon princess” outfit she donned last year in an episode of Smallville (pictured). We hear Adrianne Palicki’s is available.
Durance, best known for playing Lois Lane for seven seasons on Smallville, was recently cast as the female lead in the Canadian medical drama Saving Hope. She’ll appear in the 11th episode of Harry’s Law, which doesn’t have a firm air date.
