Doctor Who Channels Narnia
in Trailer for Christmas Special

BBC and BBC America have released the trailer for the Doctor Who 2011 Christmas special “The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.” Hey, if Steven Moffat & Co. could take on A Christmas Carol last year, then why not give The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe a go?
The series returns once more to World War II as young widow Madge Arwell (Claire Skinner) and her children Lily and Cyril are evacuated from Londo to a dusty old house in Dorset, where they’re “greeted by a madcap caretaker whose mysterious Christmas gift leads them into a magical wintry world.”
Starring Matt Smith, the Christmas special premieres Dec. 25 on BBC and BBC America.
