"X-Men: Apocalypse" Post-Credits Scene Teases Two HUGE Franchise Debuts
Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? In addition to playing Roadblock in G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation and returning to the WWE ring alongside John Cena, the man also known as Dwayne Johnson has signed on as the lead in The Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide, Deadline reports.
Little is known about the project aside from the fact that Johnson is set to star and the film is being produced by Simon Kinberg’s aptly named Genre Productions. Kinberg produced X-Men: First Class and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, but has also been a screenwriter, with Sherlock Holmes and the aforementioned Lincoln among his credits.
The film is based on the 2010 miniseries from Zenescope Entertainment, best known for its Grimm Fairy Tales comics, which usually feature horror-themed versions of the classic tales populated by scantily clad women. Survival Guide, written by John Paul Russ, did as the title suggests and offered readers tips and=about various monsters, from vampires to the Jersey Devil.
Presumably, Johnson will be seen butting boots to all kinds of monster asses, as is his wont.
