Only days after ordering two additional scripts from Grimm, NBC has picked up the freshman drama for a full season.
“We are very pleased to be making a full-season commitment for Grimm,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “This series is turning the traditional procedural drama on its head and is attracting a loyal following for us on Friday nights. We love where it’s going creatively and we’re excited to deliver more episodes to our audience.”
Additionally, the network announced it will test the waters with an episode airing Thursday, Dec. 8, at 10 p.m., the time slot belonging to the recently canceled Prime Suspect.
Created by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel alums David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, Grimm follows Portland, Oregon, a homicide detective (David Giuntoli) who discovers he’s a descendent of a long line of hunters known as Grimms, responsible for protecting our world from the sinister creatures of fairy tales.
