The Amazing Spider-Man’s Lizard Revealed … as a PEZ Dispenser

Despite the best efforts of Columbia Pictures to keep details of The Amazing Spider-Man under wraps, one of the biggest secrets of the franchise reboot — what the scaly antagonist the Lizard will look like — appears to have been revealed by, of all things, PEZ. Warning: Spoilers, I guess?

ComicBookMovie has stumbled across licensed PEZ dispensers depicting Spider-Man in his redesigned film costume, and the Lizard … being all green and khaki. They’re only busts of the characters, so we’ll have to wait a while longer to see Rhys Ifans’ Curt Connors in his full reptilian glory, claws, tail and all.

Of course, given the frequency with which merchandising tie-ins spoil otherwise well-guarded effects details, we probably won’t have to wait too long.

Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Campbell Scott, C. Thomas Howell, Julianne Nicholson and Annie Parisse. The film opens July 3.

this is likley a early transformation of the lizard he will become more dinosour and monstrous like the further he transforms as there is that screen shot of the lizard attacking the 2 girls in the bathroom he is much more like the traditional lizard

I hate this movement in PEZ design toward busts instead of heads.  Some of the bust ones work well– like the Star Trek OS dispensers, but these ones would be so much better as just heads.

This is bullcrap!!! Spider-Man and Lizard aren’t PEZ dispensers! I refuse to watch this movie!!!1!

  • Person

I threw a Pez at him!

Where do the Pez come out?

  • Guest

Pez MUST come out of a throat otherwise it’s not PEZ. BAH I say BAH, I refuse to buy this.

I think it works for the more humanoid characters.  Like the Disney princesses.  For some reason I find disembodied princess heads kind of creepy.  Also, it worked for the DC Super-Heroes ones because they could stick the chest emblem on there.
