Ryan Reynolds Debuts Official "Deadpool" Suit
As we mentioned earlier, director Michael Bay’s potential involvement in a fourth Transformers movie might depend on Paramount Pictures agreeing to make Pain and Gain, a $20 million film about bodybuilders who kidnap a businessman only to be hunted down by an investigator the victim hires. The film will be based on a 1999 Miami New Times article detailing real-life events. Bay has been wanting to make the movie ever since, and Variety reports, the dream is getting close to becoming a reality.
One of the advancements involves Bay talking to potential stars for the movie, which is being described as a dark comedy: Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg. While these discussions are very preliminary, it should be noted that Johnson tweeted “Fired up to make a movie w/ my bud Michael Bay. #NoPainNoGain” That would seem to be at least a step in the right direction.
The script was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (all three Chronicles of Narnia movies, Captain America: The First Avenger). If Bay and Paramount can come to an agreement, filming on Pain is expected to begin as early as next spring.
