Axel-In-Charge: Waid & Samnee on "Black Widow" and the Dawn of the All-New, All-Different Era
By the time Joe Hill’s second novel Horns came out in February 2010, he had already signed a deal with Mandalay Pictures for a movie version. It took some time, but the project has finally picked up some steam, with Heat Vision now reporting that Alexandre Aja is set to direct the adaptation.
Aja made a name for himself back in 2003 with the release of his French slasher flick High Tension. He followed that up with a remake of The Hills Have Eyes, Mirrors and Piranha, so he’s no stranger to the world of horror.
Horns follows Ignatius “Ig” Perrish, a man whose girlfriend’s murder has gone unsolved getting wasted on the anniversary and waking up the next day with a pair of horns on his head and some mysterious powers.
Hill, who also writes the comic series Locke & Key and has a new novel in the works, will act as executive producer. Horns is targeted to begin filming in the spring.
