Parks and Rec’s Chris Pratt in Talks for Kill Bin Laden?

Chris Pratt, best known for his turn as the loveable Andy Dwyer on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, is in talks for the lead role in the Kathryn Bigelow drama once known as Kill Bin Laden, Twitch reports.

As the (former) title suggests, the film from the Oscar-winning director and her Hurt Locker writer/producer Mark Boal centers on the real-life hunt for the mastermind of 9/11. Joel Edgerton and Jason Clarke have been connected to the project — however, it looks like Edgerton has dropped out — with reports circulating that such names as Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Rooney Mara have been bandied about for the ensemble cast.

The Sony Pictures film is set to go into production early next year.

Osama bin Laden was not the mastermind behind 9/11. Nor was he killed in a raid. But, I’m sure this will still be a brilliant fictional film about fictional accounts.

    …and there wasn’t a holocaust, either.

It’s about time somebody made a film about this big Jihadist war we’ve been forced to fight. I know people in the industry were afraid to make a film about it. But they should of denounced what THEY did on 9/11 and showed some guts. They can’t stay with the politics of the 1970s anymore.  If they want to squeel at the American government, they should scream at the jihadists, too.

Man, countries like Pakistan and Iran are really terrible places to live.
