Marvel has announced that Blade, the final chapter in its series of original anime that’s boasted Iron Man, Wolverine and X-Men, will premiere Friday, Jan. 13 on G4.
Produced by Madhouse and directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Chi’s Sweet Home, Kobato), the 12-episode series stars Lost alum Harold Perrineau as the voice of Eric Brooks, the Daywalker with a vampire’s strength and thirst for blood but without a vulnerability to sunlight.
The series finds Blade, with vampire hunter Makoto at his side, in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia searching for Deacon Frost in their effort to destroy Existence, a vampire organization with roots embedded in Asia.
Blade debuts Friday, Jan. 13 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on G4.
