Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
Just last week, word got out that filming had wrapped on Cloud Atlas, the project from directors Tom Tykwer and Lana and Andy Wachowski. David Mitchell’s 2004 novel hopped around time, as does the adaptation. In fact, the Wachowskis worked on parts of the film while Tykwer went off and shot other sections.
Aside from that news we’ve seen a slew of casting announcements that included Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, High Grant, Susan Sarandon and a small army of others. But now, thanks to Twitch, we have a few other tidbits, including two pieces of concept art depicting Seoul in 2144. They’re not much to go on and don’t reveal too much of the story, but it’s intriguing to see how these very visual directors have envisioned Mitchell’s version of the future.
