Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
As we continue to get excited about The Dark Knight Rises, it makes sense to look back at Christopher Nolan’s earlier Batman related effort, especially Heath Ledger’s amazing performance as The Joker in 2008’s The Dark Knight. Director, writer and podcaster Kevin Smith must have been feeling the same way a few days back when he tweeted the below unused footage of the actor. Since then, this YouTube clip, first posted in March 2010, has blown up again in popularity.
That either means that Ledger’s performance was amazing and deserves repeated viewing, or that the week between Christmas and New Year’s is really slow for entertainment news. Actually, maybe in this case, it’s both.
