First Look at Erica Durance as <br />Wonder Woman on <i>Harry’s Law</i>  

David E. Kelley has at last found a good use for one of the costumes left over from his rejected Wonder Woman pilot: He’s put Smallville alum Erica Durance in it.

We’ve known since mid-November that the former Lois Lane would guest star on Kelley’s legal dramedy Harry’s Law as a psychologically damaged woman who retreats into the persona of the DC Comics superheroine, but now NBC has released the first images of the actress in her star-spangled outfit. And, as we suspected, it’s the same design as one worn by Adrianne Palicki in the doomed pilot — right down to the blue stretch pants, gold-star trim and uncomfortable-looking belt. Hey, it saves on production costs.

Durance, who donned a more generic “Amazon princess” costume last year in an episode of Smallville, confessed to TVLine that it was “very surreal” to step into the genuine article.

“It was a lot of fun,” she said. “I think any woman would be lying if she didn’t have a moment’s hesitation — you know, you’re jumping into some pretty tight clothes. But it’s so much more than that. It’s such an iconic character.”

But does Durance wish she’d had a chance to wear those trademark Wonder Woman short-shorts?

“I’m very grateful for the pants,” she told TV Guide with a laugh. “I know that people were very excited about the underwear and seeing them. To be quite frank, I don’t know if I could’ve done the underwear justice at this point in time and it might have been more upsetting for people to see me in them than to not, so I think the pants are a safe bet for me.”

Durance’s episode of Harry’s Law airs Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

    I don’t know the show at all, but the episode’s plot seems interesting, especially not just any character, but a Wounder woman, a DC character and I just love DCs characters.

    She looks a bit more suited to the role than the actress originally chosen to play WW. That actress, whatever was her actual age, had too much of a teenage girl face, Erica Durance and some other actresses (who may or may not be older than her, I don’t know their birthdays) have more proper “women” faces, looking not old at all, but also not teenagers. That other actress would be more suited to some of those other wonder-woman-like characters, like that one who used to wear red pants (nowadays its blue or black I think) and there’s an even younger blonde one I guess, this one would be even more suited to that actress, who used to be blonde, even though that’s not really important, but the apparent age of her face.

    What a difference casting can make. Adrianne Palicki looked more like a cosplayer in this costume, yet Erica Durance actually does look more like Wonder Woman. Shame it’s only Harry’s Law and is basically being done for shits and giggles.

    Last time I checked Wonder Woman isn’t a teenager so Connie who said that Erica is too old to play Wonder Woman must be smoking something to make a comment like that.Wonder Woman is a grown amazon warrior and not some pubescent teenage girl in high school.I would agree with Connie if Erica was playing Wonder Girl who is a teenager but that isn’t the case here.Next thing you know she’ll say Henry Cavill is too young to play Superman.Before you throw out a comment check your facts on the characters first so as to not make a fool of yourself.
