New Movie Still, Quinjet Concept Art Surface for Marvel’s Avengers

When it comes to superhero movies, we all get pretty excited for every new image, trailer or nugget of information. Today we have a pair of images to show off from director Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. First up, courtesy of USA Today, you can see Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) surrounded by rubble in what looks like a battle scene.

Meanwhile, and more interesting considering we’ve already seen Cap and Thor in costumed action, is a piece of concept art SuperHeroHype found on The illustration shows off a possible design for the Quinjet, the Avengers’ long-range transportation mode of choice.

Written and directed by Whedon, The Avengers stars Hemsworth, Evans, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye brought together by Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury to take on a larger threat posed by Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Stellan Skarsgård also star. The movie opens May 4.

Oh sick, I didn’t even know they were doing the Quinjet. I figured they’d just ride in the hellicarrier.

This looks wicked! FYI everybody its rumored that the Red Skull is in the movie also! The Hero Clix line has an Avengers characters movie line that has recently been unveiled & it it just added the Red Skull & said that the Avengers would be facing the villainy of Loki & the Red Skull! I really hope that Marvel puts out a Black Panther movie before Avengers 2 though so they can add him to the roster.

Marvel will milk it for its worth. Saying this, I hope to god they do it right and have the Quinjet. It would be like putting the X-Men on a hovercraft instead of the X-Jet. Either go big or go home people.
