Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox just scored a pair of pilots with both interesting creators and premises.
First, from Green Lantern screenwriters Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, who co-created ABC’s Eli Stone, is Guilty, a legal drama centering on a defense attorney who uses his skills to solve cases he’s been barred from arguing in court after being falsely convicted of fraud.
Neither writer is a stranger to legal shows. In addition to the musical dramedy Eli Stone, Guggenheim wrote for The Practice and served as a writer-producer of Law & Order. Berlanti was an executive producer of Dirty Sexy Money.
The other is a serial killer pilot from Kevin Williamson, the brain behind The Vampire Diaries, Dawson’s Creek and most of the Scream movies. He plans to write and executive produce the drama, which follows the killer as he builds a cult of serial killers, and the FBI agent on his trail.
