Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
Between the trippy teaser posters and the so-fun-we’re-back-on-the-MiB-train trailer, Columbia Pictures has done a good job of getting fans worked back up for the suit-and-shades-wearing adventures of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as Men In Black Agents J and K. To help build anticipation, the studio released these two images, one of which comes from a scene in the trailer while the other appears to be a standoff in a restaurant.
Columbia also released the official plot synopsis:
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.
The film, which opens on May 25, also stars Emma Thompson as Oh, Alice Eve as Young Agent Oh, Bill Hader as Andy Warhol, Jemaine Clement as Boris and Nicole Scherzinger as Lilly.
