First Look at Vin Diesel in Costume on the Set of Riddick

Vin Diesel has become essentially a one-man promotional machine for David Twohy’s long-discussed Riddick, doling out updates and production art on his Facebook page. Overnight he continued the push, rewarding fans with a first look at him in costume on the set of the sequel.

“Grateful for the opportunity to make magic,” the actor wrote. “Thank you.”

He’s joined in the film by Karl Urban, who’s set to reprise his role as Vaako. Katee Sackhoff and Jordi Molla are in talks to play mercenaries on Riddick’s trail.

It’s really too bad that a great little film like “Pitch Black” had to followed by a dog like “Chronicles Of Riddick”.Hopefully concepts and writing are in somebody else’s hands other than Vin Diesel this time around. Diesel seems to think he actually has a franchise with this.I assume part 3 wouldn’t be made unless 2 did boffo box office. At least this keeps him off the streets of the real world where he would be working as a repo man or bounty hunter or bouncer at the local strip club.

This film seems to be taking the best of Pitch Black and the Chronicles of Riddick and upping the ante. I’m realy looking forward to this.

The story of this film is closer to Pitch Black than Chronicles. It will also have an R-rating like Pitch Black. The unrated Director’s cut of Chronicles of Riddick was actually pretty good, but you can tell that they were making a PG-13 film and just did different takes for the DVD.

With the last to Fast and the Furious movies, Vin Diesel has regained his box office power. Now he needs to make sure this is an incredible action movie to regain his action movie power/status.

I hope you are right John because, if nothing else, I would like to see them follow up the ending were he is, in a sense, the king of everything, but realises he doesn’t have a clue as to what to do next.Very funny and one of the few highspots in Chroncles. We will see.I suppose the aliens of Pitch Black had to reappear some time assuming thati is the direction they are going with.If not as long as he doesn’t try to write anything.

I like how, despite that “The Chronicles of Riddick” was not as well received by the box office, that he’s not treating that films chronology ‘s as if it were a dream or something (if the costume is any indicator).

When movies do that, they tend to be lame.
