Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
IGN.com has premiered a new trailer for Lockout — aka Lock-Out, aka MS One: Maximum Security — the Luc Besson-produced sci-fi action film that’s been described as Escape From New York … in space. Or Taken … in space. The operative term here is in space.
The movie stars Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential, Prometheus) as a government agent wrongfully convicted of a crime who’s given one chance at redemption: to travel to outer space to rescue the U.S. president’s daughter (Lost‘s Maggie Grace) from a prison satellite overtaken by violent inmates.
In short, the premise is delightfully ludicrous.
James Mather and Stephen St. Leger directed Lockout from a script they wrote with Besson. The film, which opens April 20 in the United States, also stars Peter Stormare, Joseph Gilgun, Vincent Regan and Jacky Ido.
