G.I. Joe: Retaliation Premieres Explosive Super Bowl TV Spot

Paramount Pictures has premiered the Super Bowl TV spot for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the Jon M. Chu-directed sequel to 2009′s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The 30-second ad is packed full of fighting, explosions, jumping and, yes, a helmeted Cobra Commander.

The film, which opens June 29, stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson.

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

Glad to see that Channing Tatum who acts like well…a potato will be only a bit player in this. And Moron Wayans won’t be in this at all. Plus we’ll be seeing some of the classic vehicles that were missing from the first movie like the Cobra Rattler.

wow. This movie actually looks pretty great. Considering how much the first one stunk, I am cautiously optimistic about how this sequel turns out.
