Syfy Summons Legion

Syfy is developing a television series based on Legion, the 2010 supernatural thriller about humanity’s battle for survival against God’s angels.

Deadline reports that the film’s director and co-writer Scott Stewart will direct and executive produce the TV adaptation, written by Vaun Wilmott (Sons of Anarchy). Sony Pictures TV is producing.

The $26 million film, which starred Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson and Adrianne Palicki, grossed about $68 million worldwide, and received largely negative reviews.

Sooo… the secret to success on Syfy now is to take a flop of a film and rework it into a series?

Well think about it this way; they take complete flops for scripts, hand over a couple hundred thousands, and we end up with entire weekends filled with B movies… Sooo This isn’t THAT much of a stretch for them.

That is a really good point :-)

I’m having a little faith in this TV adaption…Buffy the Vampire Slayer was originally a B-movie, and look how good it became.
