<i>Doctor Who</i> Starts Production <br />on Amy and Rory’s Final Season  

BBC and BBC America have announced the start of production for the seventh season of Doctor Who with the release of a photo of Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill on the Wales set of the hit series. It’s a little bittersweet, though, as it marks the final season for companions Amy and Rory.

“It’s thrilling and exciting to be back and working with two of my closest friends,” said Smith, who’s returning for his third season as the Eleventh Doctor.

Confirmed guest stars for the 14-episode season so far include David Bradley, Rupert Graves and Mark Williams.

    Awesome that the Ponds are back! I thought they were out after series 6, so squeezing in another romp with them suits me just fine. As always, looking forward to new Who!

     david bradley played argus filch in harry potter, rupert graves was di lestrade on sherlock and mark williams played arthur weasley in harry potter. know your geekdom

    this to me is still the second best doctor ever but i love matt smith and sad to see to see the ponds go but looking forward to the next season is it april yet? lol
