WB Pulls Stallone’s <i>Bullet</i>  

The Sylvester Stallone revenge tale Bullet to the Head, originally set for an April 13 release, has been removed from Warner Bros.’ distribution schedule, Deadline reports. No reason was given, but The Three Stooges and The Cabin in the Woods are both set to come out that same day.

Directed by Walter Hill (The Warriors, 48 Hrs.), the Dark Castle film is an adaptation of a French graphic novel about a cop and a hitman (Stallone) who join forces to take out the people who killed both of their partners. Christian Slater, Jason Momoa and Sung Kang also star.

    So… it’s either so bad it’ll be going straight to DVD, or so bad it’ll be slipped on the schedule at some later date when no one notices or cares.  Oh well, Stallone’s film track record is like a Star Trek film anyway (one good, one bad, one good, rinse and repeat).

    The funniest thing about this was that Thomas Jane was scheduled to star in this film but was replaced by Joel Silver.  Jane’s quote is priceless.

    “Well, Joel Silver came onboard the project and said that he has a quote-unquote ‘formula’ for these quote-unquote ‘buddy movies’ and it has to be a white guy and a quote-unquote ‘ethnic guy.’ And they relieved me of duty and basically paid me off, which I was really upset about, you know? I didn’t get a call from Stallone. I was a little upset about that. Maybe they didn’t want anybody on the movie with a bigger dick than him.”

    Maybe August is a better release time.  Less hectic competition against the blockbusters that come earlier on..

    LOVE sly to the bitter end– but he best make as many action flicks as possible.
    He is already  a few years past  what anyone should look like at his age.

    When in the history of cinema has an actor had Slys build?   Arnie is a fat old man now.
    We know sly takes HGH etc,  but those roids can only do so much to a 66yrold.

    Keep kicking butt sly– we luv ya!
