USA Today previews Disney XD’s Marvel Universe with a trailer for the upcoming programming block, as well as three new clips from the premiere episode of Ultimate Spider-Man, “Great Responsibility.” In addition, the cable channel has released 14 stills from that April 1 episode, featuring Spider-Man/Peter Parker (voiced by Drake Bell), Nick Fury (Chi McBride), Stan the Janitor (Stan Lee), Flash Thompson (Matt Latner), the Frightful Four and more.

Marvel Universe launches Sunday, April 1 at 11 a.m. ET/PT with two episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man, followed by the Season 2 premiere of The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Interspersed throughout will be such short-form series as “Fury Files,” “Marvel Mash-Up” and “Master Class.” First, though, Ultimate Spider-Man will receive its world premiere this Sunday during the “Marvel: House of Ideas” presentation at SXSW.

    So… it’s Lizzie McGuire?

  • Josh G

I could really do without Stan Lee.

  • Bob

I like it, but Drake Bell isn’t so good as a voice for Spidey

  • Persiapspprince

    actually its not bad

  • SageShinigami

I like it, but ew.  Peter Parker’s voice?  No go.

  • Jo

The Frightful Four are Zombies in the Ultimate Universe -__-”’

  • Josh Brown

    Hey, I liked Lizzy McGuire!

Ugh, these Stan Lee cameos have been played out since the original X-Men movies.

  • Statham

You really expect them to put zombies in a kids’ show?

  • Brian Middleton Jr

His voice is rough…everything else looks super dece!

  • macwagen

Anyone else notice that quick flash image of the “Iron Spider” costume in the first trailer?

  • Anonymous

    Its ok

  • Benjamin J

Looks decent, except for the (groan)…sound effects.  Shallow thinking at it’s most obvious:

“OMG You can SEE the Sound FX when he punches someone!!! it’s just like the comic book!”

I knew the frigging Scott Pilgrim movie would have a lot to answer for.

  • fred

This looks good, my kids like it and i can’t wait to see it!

  • cabdi_sagafe

Stupid Disney, injecting their childish nature into Marvel.

  • Mythos

Not looking too bad, but no Joshua Keaton still depresses me.

  • Ian

This dude is DEAD already in the Ultimate universe, I call RACIST-LAMENESS that the CURRENT Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales, isn’t the star.  I’m boycotting this trype.

  • Alex

Samuel Jackson Nick Fury? Oh come on. Is the Hulk going to come in and start eating people? Maybe Hank Pym will come on screen and start slapping his woman around.

    Great kids stuff.
