SDCC: Marvel's "Doctor Strange" Combats "Death and Pain" in New Trailer
Comic Books, Film
Even as word emerges that Chronicle director Josh Trank is in talks to helm Sony’s long-gestating Spider-Man spinoff Venom, Deadline reports Fox has hired Max Landis to pen the sequel to their hit found-footage superpower saga.
The film, which follows three teens (played by Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell and Michael B. Jordan) whose lives spin out of control after they develop superhuman abilities, has grossed $105 million worldwide since its release early last month.
Landis, the 26-year-old son of director John Landis, sold a pitch for space adventure to Disney in January, and also has a Frankenstein project in the works at Fox.
