Merc With A Movie: The 16-Year Odyssey of the "Deadpool" Film
It looks like Josh Hutcherson has a trilogy on his hands. No, we’re not talking about the upcoming Hunger Games, but another entry in the Journey series of films from New Line based on the works of Jules Verne. Yesterday, the sequel was announced even as Journey 2: The Mysterious Island passed $276 million mark in the worldwide box office.
According to The Wrap, stars Hutcherson and Dwayne Johnson are set to return for the third installment of the franchise. Like the announcement of the new movie, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as these kinds of films tend to have sequel clauses in their contracts.
The real question will be when Johnson can fit the movie in: The dude’s got a lot of projects lined up, including Michael Bay’s Pain and Gain, Snitch and adaptations of the comic books Ciudad and Hercules: The Thracian War, the latter of which is with Brett Ratner.
