Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has already carved out a television niche for himself as a judge on NBC’s singing-competition show The Voice, but the producers of American Horror Story want to put the singer’s acting talents to the test. According to Entertainment Weekly’s Inside TV blog, Levine is in final negotiations to play half of a couple known as “The Lovers,” as well as a character set in the current day, in the second season of FX’s hit thriller.
Although the details are still being ironed out, it was noted that filming for Levine’s scenes would scheduled around Maroon 5’s summer tour. Nothing else is known about either his character or the rest of the second season, which premieres in October. The series will see the return of Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe, but that’s about all we’ve got.
