D.J. Caruso might have directed films like Eagle Eye and I Am Number Four, but he’s best known in the geek community as the guy who wants to bring the Vertigo classic Preacher to the screen. While that project labors in development, Deadline reports Caruso will be moving on to a new project at Sony called Invertigo.
Written by Ehren Kruger (the two Transformers sequels) and produced by Bradley Cramp (Lord of War), the film finds New York City lacking gravity after a NASA satellite crashes and creates a “reverse-G vortex.” No production or release dates have been announced just yet, but don’t be surprised if casting news starts rolling out in the next month or two.
