"Agents of SHIELD's" Edward James Olmos Talks Instigating Mutiny and the Real SHIELD
James Bond has been in some interesting and exotic places over the years, but his next filmed appearance will be closer to home for the British super-spy, according to U.K.’s The Sun. No, we’re not talking about the 23rd Bond movie Skyfall, which premieres Nov. 9, but instead an original short filmed in Buckingham Palace that will open the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Better yet? Daniel Craig and company were invited by Queen Elizabeth herself.
The opener, dubbed “The Arrival,” was helmed by none other than filmmaker Danny Boyle (127 Hours, 28 Days Later), artistic director for the opening ceremony. The short starts off with Bond in the palace receiving orders to open the ceremony and then parachuting into Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
The big question seems to be who Bond receives said orders from. Will it be the Queen? Boyle and his crew reportedly were offered all kinds of access to the Queen’s private rooms, so it’s possible. Considering it’s both the 50th anniversary of the Bond films and the kick off of an important even for England, don’t count her out as the next Bond girl.
