Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy to Receive Blu-ray Treatment

While director Marc Webb’s upcoming Amazing Spider-Man takes a different perspective the wall-crawler than the one seen in Sam Raimi’s trilogy, that doesn’t mean the earlier films will be forgotten. In fact, as revealed, Raimi’s films will be getting a new series of Blu-ray releases that not only come with UltraViolet versions, but also never-before-seen features.

People who purchase the new sets on June 12 will not only get the jam-packed sets, but also a code to redeem up to $10 toward a ticket to see The Amazing Spider-Man, which opens July 3. These discs will include previously released special features, with Spider-Man coming with a Webhead trivia game as well as the ability to assemble your own series of clips, while Spider-Man 2 boasts unreleased fight scenes.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Campbell Scott, C. Thomas Howell, Embeth Davidtz and Annie Parisse.

    Wow, what awful covers.

  • Wildstorm

Ummmm, this has been available on BD for years

  • Matty

Think these are the worst covers ever! Also what’s this ultraviolet stuff?

  • Tastee

Ultraviolet is a crap quality digital copy to justify the studios position that you have no need to be able to rip the movie yourself to your Ipod or other player.

  • Mel

Can’t they hire Alex Ross to do the covers?
